09/04/2000 OOC Note -- Khalid has been inactive since January. Real life demands and my primary Internet project -- www.chivalry.com -- have kept me from role-playing much anymore. I don't forsee being back on CDI regularly in the near future.
If someone is interested in taking over this character, or creating a Tolman persona that would take over the role of Ambassador, I'd be happy to chat with you about it. (The player-switch would have to be approved by CDI admins before it could go ahead.)
I do monitor the CDI-IC mailing list, and welcome any e-mail notes of "things Khalid would/should know." For the most part, you can assume that Khalid is spends most of his time back in Tolmas due to a diplomatic crisis with a neighboring country, but does maintain his residence (Elysia Mansion) on the Northern Road and visits to take care of diplomatic issues with D'Image.

I have put a great deal of thought and effort into the development of this character, his history, and background information on the country of Tolmas. Included in these pages is information that would be mostly common knowledge, but there is a great deal more that I will not tell here because it is far more fun to impart through roleplay. Do you think I'm just trying to entice you to come play with me? Perhaps so.
Khalid, Ambassador to the court of D'Image, arrived at the Castle in late 4280 (OOC: early February, 1999) with his entourage from Tolmas. Upon arrival he was introduced to the court and presented gifts to the newly ascended King Bradley D'Image from the Shataan of Tolmas. (A log of the event is available.)
Khalid follows in his father's footsteps as Ambassador to D'Image. Darius na Abbas held this same position for fifteen years, but returned home to Tolmas in 4273 when his first and most beloved wife fell ill. Thereafter Darius made only one journey back to D'Image and subsequently took up a reclusive lifestyle in his villa outside Martagina. Upon hearing of the ascension of a new King in D'Image, the Shataan decided it was time to renew and refresh ties with the D'Image court and sought out Darius, requesting that he retire and help select a new Ambassador. After a great deal of debate, Darius' youngest son, Khalid, was asked to take the position for a period of one year.
Khalid accepted and put aside his other responsibilities to go to D'Image, for the sake of family and royal loyalties. Here is Khalid's first report back to the Shataan of Tolmas at the royal Court in Martagina.
