Comments: I first heard Gerry play in the Meeting House pub in Dublin back in the eighties I guess. He was the first Irish guitarist I heard doing Leo Kottke numbers on the guitar and I was very impressed.
I next heard him doing a great show in the Coffee Kitchen folkclub in Dublin. He had grown by then into a great performer and played a stunning version of The Highwayman and a hilarious song about cowboys I think.
Ive followed his career since and love the Half Moon Bay album and am looking forward to the next.

Comments: I was so blown away when I previewed a few tracks from Half Moon Bay....I ordered my own copy immediately thereafter !! I hope you get a gig in the Northeastern part of the U.S. SOON. I live in the New York Metro area...lots of jaded people amongst which they are real folkies like me.

Comments: Gerry! Adrian and I really enjoyed your house concert at Sally's house in Berkeley. Your music has so much meaning, love and strength behind it. We listen to your CD daily and it sounds even more beautiful every time. Half Moon Bay remains our favorite, followed closely by Western Highway. You are an amazing artist and please keep us posted when you are in the Bay Area. We look forward to seeing you again!!

Comments: Gerry - pulled over to hear you on KQED Saturday last but could make neither Healdsberg or Berkeley gig. I want the album for the one tune played after the interview - I'd no idea it was you...a long way from 9 Raglan Road days - incidentally Amy J. (the separate Top Flat bell) is still with us @ 83 or something, still hauling turf up to the fire despite a low bout for much the first half of the year...

Comments: It is special to have people like yourself venture into peoples(Betts)livingrooms and make us feel like you have opened up yourself and let us be special to you. It may just be show biz, but we still feel special. I was tempted to move into the room with the party animals and wine. Come back often and send your friends on down to "The Old North State" to looky and play around.
Cheers.

Comments: Heard your beautiful "Glass Boat" on Radio National's "The Planet" - love it, and never knew the ukelele could sound so sweet! Next time you're in Australia, perhaps you could consider coming to Tasmania - a pilgrimage that many thousands of your fellow countrymen have done over the centuries for many reasons. You'd like it down here. and I'm sure it couldn't fail to inspire some music! Good luck!

Comments: Hi Gerry.
Thanks for "Buichaill with the boogaloo" . I need help with the Gaelic. Your personality shines on stage when you are having fun. Andy does great back-up vocals for your guitar work. I sent the website for the band I left, but I think they still are using my pictures on the site. So you maybe will remember me the next time we meet. "Terry McKee" is a song I wrote. Do you know that miserable creature?

Comments: Hi Gerry, I was in Nashville on the 18th on business. I had heard about the legendary Bluebird Cafe and thought, great, some real country music. So imagine my surprise to hear you there. Great country music, just a different country! Your guitar playing was brilliant/hypnotic/effortless/inventive. To have Maura singing with you was just heaven. Do you perform together often? You should.
Thank you for a magical evening.

Thank you for playing "Shades of Gloria" and "Holy Ground," too. I will never hear "Sloop John B" without hearing the ghost of a ukelele again! COME TO ALABAMA!!!

You also have a wonderful voice to put to all that strumming! Thanks to the two of you for giving us the opportunity to listen in person there and in Kansas City. May the wind be at your back, and we will see you down the road

Comments: Hi Gerry! Your website is beautiful-- Hope you don't mind that we linked to it from our new site; as you're one of our all-time favorite guests, I didn't wait for your permission!

As always, we continue to get booked up ridiculously far in advance-- but whether or not we can arrange another booking together, you're welcome to the guest bed and the larder if you're ever in the neighborhood again! Best from both of us--
