College students to teach traditional music, dance, Irish language this summer
Central Missouri Celtic Arts Association is seeking two college students who are already planning to be in the US on J-1 visas this summer to spend the summer in Columbia, Missouri teaching language or traditional music or dance.
We will guarantee a minimum income of $800 for each person to teach an 8-week class. The students can also find regular employment in Columbia and we will work the classes around their schedule. We will also help find housing and provide transportation as necessary.
To apply, e-mail a brief summary of qualifications to Kate Akers kakers@moceltic.org and contact information for two references by April 30.
Columbia is a vibrant university town half way between St. Louis and Kansas City. The students we hosted last year had a great summer and were invited on fun weekend trips to places like Six Flags St Louis amusement park, canoeing on Missouri rivers, water skiing at Lake of the Ozarks, sight-seeing and shopping in St. Louis and Kansas City, and more.
