NOTES: Written January 7, 1987.  This song is about  that recognition we have when we meet someone with whom we have shared previous lives.  The setting here has the main character gazing into a looking glass with my reflection on the inside looking back, singing these words to her.

Looking glass lady...
Well, it's good to see you here again
There on the outside looking in...
How is the view?

Looking glass lady...
Though you have changed your face - your hair
I'd know the laughter in those eyes anywhere
It sings like you...

My looking glass lady
(Can you see?) That's why I love you...
(Do you see?) That's why I love you

BRIDGE:
Well, tell me - do you see
Reflections of you when you're looking at me?
That's what I see...
When I look into you I see all I can be....

Still, looking glass lady...
If you must look at who you are
Best you start looking at the stars
That shine like you...

My looking glass lady
(Can you see?) That's why I love you...
(Do you see?) That's why I love you
